The photo above really touched my heart. Nick Jordan coordinated with our Wells of Life partners in Uganda to pray for me. They are at one of the Grace Church wells. What a gift pouring back to us. The thought that people are praying from around the world is so powerful.
The morning after my diagnosis I walked into the kitchen to a text. It came in from Greece from Michael Fletcher as they toured a church: “Laura and lit candles for you and cried out for healing grace to destroy the cancer and its cause inside your body!” My heart was still raw. The timing perfect. I burst into tears.
This blog has been viewed by people in 38 countries. Nana and I went through the list, and in most places we could guess who our friends are in these different places. What a blessing. What a support and strength. We love you, and we’re grateful.
PLEASE PRAY. Update: The biopsy of the actual growth in my C6 vertebra has been rescheduled for this Friday, Nov. 1st. I appreciate the prayers for skilled and easy removal of the tissue. It’s in a “high real estate location” as the neurosurgeon describe it.
This biopsy will be significant in determining the exact diagnosis and then course of treatment. Although the PET scan came back as isolated to one location, there is still a broad range of possibilities of what we’re dealing with. It will take at least one week to get results. God is in control. We will win. #madestrong.
